Capcom has updated the official Japanese Resident Evil: Revelations website with new game play details. Players will be able to switch from English to Japanese and vice versa at any point and time in the game.  Revelations will  introduce a more cohesive chapter system similar to Alan Wake:

“In order for players to understand the scope of this mainline title, the game adopts a chapter-based progression system.

At the end of each chapter, there will be striking cutscenes that players will not want to miss, thus making them want to see what happens next. Players will get a gameplay experience akin to that of a TV drama series.

With that said, at the beginning of each chapter, a movie will play summarizing what has happened up until that point in the game.”

A new T-Virus was also detailed. Called the t-Abyss Virus this marine virus is derived from the t-Virus. Enemies in the game named Veltro are the only entities  that possess quantities of the virus but they have the ability to infect one-fifth of the world’s oceans with it.

Resident Evil: Revelations is due out early next year for the 3DS.
