If you’re anticipating a new Tekken game for Sony’s PlayStation Vita, don’t hold your breath. Tekken producer and creator, Katsuhiro Harada, recently told Eurogamer that despite Tekken currently in development  for Nintendo’s 3DS, Namco Bandai has no plans to release a version of the game on Sony’s new portable…yet.

“..A standalone Tekken game may not see the light of day on Vita for a while, but Sony fans still have plenty to look forward to. Street Fighter x Tekken is coming along rather nicely indeed, and will be out for both PS3 and Vita with exclusive content. “

No Tekken for the Vita isn’t bad news. Tekken fans still have Tekken Tag Tournament 2′s console release to look forward to, which is rumored to happen sometime next year.
